Wall Mounted Vertical Garden with Self Watering Rain Gutter System(treehugger.com)
Above is an image of an invention that is on display at Prince Charles house to promote sustainable living.  Wall Mounted Vertical Garden with Self Watering Rain Gutter SystemIt was invented in mind for the small space gardener and the image is of a herb garden in recycled Javex bottles.  The bottles aren’t clear so no algae appears in the containers.
It is attached to a rain water system that collects and distributes water from the house gutters that is connected to a down pipe.
Also, on the invention there is an overflow at the top which in turn runs down to plastic rain barrel drums at the bottom that can be used in other parts of the garden or re-used through the whole system again.
I myself could see a huge range of plants that could be grown in this system such as indeterminate Tomoatoes (patio varieties) Strawberries, many types of leafy greens and a wide array of herbs. For Cooler Zones

  •  Apply a flat white wall behind to reflect more light
  • Wall will distribute heat back to the plants through the night
  • Protect from cool and strong winds.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this amazing new invention that truly is ground breaking at Prince Charles garden in good old England.
Please share this with others and help promote small space gardening and sustainable living, also I am sure there will be literally thousand of people who would love to learn this concept.
You will find the share tabs on the top right of this image.
